Okay let’s dispense with the ugly first. EIGHT turnovers! Seriously? I am obviously no longer betting on Charlie Batch! But still clinging to Dolph Lundgren, you know figuratively.
Now it is fantasy go time. And the trouble with waiver wire is that you are going to have to dig deep to find help.
It is Wednesday and LeSean McCoy has not passed the first concussion test. That does not bode well for Sunday. For the Eagles that does not seem to be a large problem. It is quite another story for your fantasy team. Enter Bryce Brown.
Brown had 19 carries for 178 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two fumbles. But I say Bah Humbug! Brown had 178 yards and two touchdowns. Yes, please add him to your roster.
The Denver Broncos are winning with a run game. Don’t get me wrong Peyton Manning is the control, but he is relying on his run game. Enter Knowshon Moreno. The first round draft pick is getting praise from his teammates. After last Sunday he is also getting praise from fantasy owners. Sunday Moreno had 85 rushing yards and 26 passing yards. Yes, please get him now.
The sleeper waiver wire pick for running backs would be Jacquizz Rodgers. Last Sunday Rodgers outgained Michael Turner. Rodgers had 10 touches for 49 yards. He also had two receptions for 30 yards. And he added a touchdown run. It seems that it would be smart to slow Turner down for playoffs.
But remember this week the Atlanta Falcons play the New Orleans Saints. This game has all the makings of a blowout. The Falcons are good at home. Rodgers should see his share of carries.
Chances of a game changing player being available on your waiver wire are slim. So concentrate on your matchups.
